Baptisim, 4th month check-up, oatmeal and Johnny Jump-a-roo!

WOW! We have had a very busy few days!!! Here is a summary of our last few days...

On Sunday Caleb was baptized at our church, Canon United Methodist. It was a very special occasion for me and Michael, and Caleb was WONDERFUL! We were so lucky to have my entire family there, most of the Anderson's and a few friends. During the opening prayer decided he would blow bubbles for the congregation to hear and see his new trick. It was pretty funny. During the baptism, they light a candle telling the child they are the light of to world, and let me tell you -- Caleb WANTED THAT CANDLE. He was reaching out for it and Amy got it blown out just in time! They also put salt in his mouth telling him that he is the salt of the Earth and he could have cared less...I was really expecting a reaction out of that. :) After the baptism, Michael and I had everyone back to our house for BBQ. It was a great day! Here are a few pictures from the baptism and some of Caleb in his outfit -- I loved his outfit, but Michael called it "girly." Whatever. :)

The actual baptism.

Chillin' in my crib in my "girly" outfit! :)
On Monday we took Caleb for his 4 month check-up. He did a great job with his shots and only cried like his dog died for a few minutes. The Dr. said that we could go ahead and start him on oatmeal 3 times a day. So far so good! We are mixing it with a little applesauce -- that stuff is N-A-S-T-Y -- and he seems to really like that. At 5 months, we can start to introduce him to fruits and veggies, and at his 6 month appointment we can discuss tapering off of the meds (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!). We broke out the high chair, and Caleb looks so tiny!!! Here are his "stats" from the appointment:
weight - 14.45 lbs (33%)
height - 25.5 in. (66%)
head - 16.5 in. (36%)
That is about 2.5 lbs in a month which is OUTSTANDING for our skinny boy. The Dr. was very please and the meds for his reflux are obviously working! YEA!

I look so small in my highchair...

Lastly, we have been waiting for a while now to break out the Johnny Jump-a-roo that Elizabeth (Michael's cousin) is letting us borrow. I call it that, because that is what my mom says they are called -- who knows. :) Well, we got it out the other night and Caleb LOVED it!! He wasn't so sure of what to do when we first put him in it, but once he got the hang it he loved it. Here are some pics of his new adventure! Thanks to Elizabeth and Sarah for letting us borrow their super cool toy!!!
I am such a big boy!!!

Hey this is fun, mom!!

I have to share this picture Michael took of Caleb the other night right after he got out of the tub...that's our precious baby boy!
