Well, mommy and daddy made a big step tonight. We put Caleb in the bathtub without his baby bathtub. I feel as though I am a pretty laid back mom. Ya know, I don't freak out and head to the doctor over every sneeze. However, I have been a freak about the bathtub. I am so worried that he is going to slip and hit his head. He did bump his head a few weeks ago, and it scared me so bad I took a day off work to make sure he was OK. I also checked on him every hour during the night. So, to make a long story short, I am a bathtub worry wart.
Caleb is 6 1/2 months old, and he has still been taking his baths in the baby bath tub. I know you are wondering if he still fits, and the answer is no, he doesn't fit, and we didn't care. We knew he was safe in there. His head was at the top and his feet hung over the side, but again, we didn't care. He was safe. He can sit up well, but we still didn't feel like he was sturdy enough to sit alone in the slippery tub, and so I always had a hand on him. Bathing a baby while holding a death grip on him doesn't work very well. Anyway, after many jokes from my family that Caleb would be 16 and still in the baby bath tub, we decided it was time to move to the next bathing step. So we got one of his bath towels, rolled it up to make a small pillow and a left a little for him to lay on, filled the tub up a little and laid him down. Needless to say, Caleb was a very happy boy in the great big bathtub. He survived (and so did I) and I looked like I had just stepped off Splash Mountain.
Here are some pics from our Wednesday night adventure. :)
loves his new, big playground...
razzing in the tub - his newest trick
he survived!!!!
Lastly, I wanted to share this picture. Caleb LOVES books!!!! He really loves Elmo and his Elmo book he got from Aunt Donna for Christmas! It is one of the books that has sound buttons you hit during the story.

Egg Hunt, Easter and 6 month birthday
We had a very busy weekend!!! Saturday we went to the annual egg hunt for Michael's family. There were 8 kids under 4 there, so to say the least, it was crazy!! We also had Caleb's 6 month pictures taken. Sunday was of course, Easter Sunday. We had a great day full of family. Sunday Caleb also turned 6 months old. It is so hard for me to believe he has only been here for 6 months. I don't really remember life without my little man. I can't wait to see what the next 6 months and beyond bring our new family!
All of the great-grandchildren at the egg hunt...as you can see, some were not loving the idea of the picture.
Frances was very worried that "Caweb" was not getting eggs, so she helped him! :)
Not really interested in his basket...
All of the Camusos
Caleb also went to the doctor today for his 6 month well appointment. Here are his stats:
weight: 16.6 pounds (30%)
height: 27.5 (84%)
head: 17.5% (35%)
It looks like someone else I know -- tall and skinny. Not that I am naming names, but...
At 6 months Caleb is...
...talking up a storm. He is constantly yapping. He is saying mama indiscriminately.
...pushing up onto all fours and rocking.
...sleeping at night and napping like a champ.
...loving baby foods. We have been through all of the fruits and veggies. His favorites are bananas, sweet potatoes and squash.
...giving kisses with an open mouth.
...working on some teeth. Drooling like a champ in the meantime.
...still one of the happiest babies I have ever seen.
We are SO blessed!!!!!

fun times
We have been very busy around here the past week! One major development was that Caleb got up on all fours and started rocking. Uh oh -- I think times at our house are about to drastically change! :) He is so proud, but very serious, about his new trick. He is still rolling over like a champ from tummy to back and SOOOOOOO CLOSE to rolling from back to stomach. He is always smiling and quite often people ask us if he is always this happy. I think we have been blessed with a very happy baby who loves life. :) Here is a pic of him on all fours -- very serious.
Also in the past week, Caleb has not been sleeping very well. He has been waking up around 5ish and not going back to sleep ------- unless he is in our bed. I know what all you moms (and others) are thinking out there. BAD IDEA!!! I know, but when all you want is some sleep you will do just about anything! :) So, in our bed he has been for a couple mornings this week. On Thursday I got out of the shower to find Caleb and Michael both passed out in our bed. I couldn't resist. :)
Here is a picture of Caleb and his friend, Leo. This was taken at a birthday party last weekend. We had to get a picture because Caleb and Leo ALWAYS have on the same bib. I think we keep Carter's in business. Leo was born New Year's Eve.
This weekend I gave a baby shower for one of my bestest friends, Erika. Erika and I used to teach together until she moved to North Carolina for her husband to complete his residency at Wake Forest. She is due with a baby boy May 25th (they aren't naming him until he is born). I am so excited for my "nephew" to make his entrance into the world, and Erika is getting to that point too! :) Here are some pics from the weekend.

Erika and Caleb -- he LOVED her! :)
Last, but not least, Michael and I celebrated our 3rd anniversiary Wednesday (yes, April Fool's Day). In honor of that, here is a wedding pic. My how our lives have changed since then! :)
Caleb will be 6 months old Sunday. I can't belive it! :) I will have many more pics after this weekend (egg hunt and Easter Sunday) and more info after his 6 month appointment Tuesday.
I hope everyone has a Hoppy Easter!!!
